Meet Melody L. Barksdale
Founder & CEO of Christ Nation Entertainment, LLC.
Born and raised in Niagara Falls, New York, I am the youngest of seven children and have dedicated my life to education, mentorship, and entertainment. My academic journey began at the University at Buffalo, where I earned degrees in Legal Studies and Educational Administration, laying the foundation for my 25-year career in teaching and youth mentorship. Throughout my career, I have produced academic, cultural, and historical events, as well as talent showcases—honing my ability to manage live productions and develop emerging talent.
To further refine my expertise, I pursued a Master of Science in Entertainment Business from Full Sail University. Today, I am the proud owner of Christ Nation Entertainment, LLC, a talent management company dedicated to empowering Christian artists and creatives.
My work has been recognized by organizations such as the Niagara Falls Chapter of the N.A.A.C.P. and the Niagara Falls Alliance of Black School Educators, where I served as Secretary for both. I have also played a key role in shaping educational initiatives as a member of the Niagara Falls and Buffalo School District Affirmative Action Curriculum Committees and the Niagara County Legislature’s Life’s Opportunities, Values, and Education (LOVE) Task Force. In these roles, I helped develop strategic plans to recruit talented educators and create career pathways for students in STEM and STEAM fields.
With a deep passion for Christ, entertainment, and education, I am committed to bridging the worlds of faith and talent management—nurturing the next generation of Christian creatives and leaders who will impact the industry and glorify God.
